Growing Years Early Learning Centers

Growing Years Early Learning Centers offer child care for children from birth through 5 years of age in a teaching environment that is secure, and nurturing. ALSM’s Growing Years Early Learning Centers are located in Bedford and Johnstown.

Our centers offer child care in a faith-based setting. While fostering the development of the mind, body and social self, the curriculum encourages each child’s creativity and teaches kindergarten readiness skills. Our consistent rules help promote self-discipline.

Active learning experiences, field trips, playground and other outdoor activity time and rest periods promote each child’s overall development during days filled with learning, laughter and personal expression. Each location offers something different, but all include well-trained, professional staff to deliver the age-appropriate activities in toddler learning areas and preschool classrooms to help children learn and stay busy.

The Bedford location offers:

• Full-day child care and part-day preschool programs for children 3 and 4 years old
• Child care and preschool services for newborns to kindergarten age

The Johnstown location offers:

• Full-day child care and part-day preschool programs for children 3 and 4 years old
• Child care and preschool services for newborns to kindergarten age
• Interaction with older adults at The Lutheran Home at Johnstown

All child care team members have education training, ongoing professional development and experience with children. They are also certified in pediatric first aid and have state-mandated clearances.

Our Growing Years Early Learning Centers are licensed by the Department of Human Services and the PA Office of Child Development and Early Learning, a division of the Department of Human Services.
